Emergency services rushed to a road in Luton following the discovery of an unexploded bomb. Police were called on October 16th at around 10.50am to reports that a device - that was thought to be an unexploded mortar shell - had been discovered on Catherral Road in Luton.
This led bomb squads to rush to the scene, where a cordon was put in place. The emergency services' Explosive Ordnance Disposal officers investigated the area regarding the incident.
However, the device discovered did not post "any risk" and was subsequently "safely removed".
