Worcester Bridge closes after unexploded 'bomb' discovery

A major city centre road was closed off after an unexploded ordnance was discovered by magnet fishers in the river Severn. Worcester Bridge and New Road were closed off while the bomb was removed from the banks of the River Severn.

Army bomb disposal experts checked the device over then taken to a field near Powick for a controlled detonation.
